The hidden room

Faith comes barging into the hallway
The sounds of laughter evaporate
Skeptical eyes measure her moves,
As she glides through people, unaffected
Hushed voices and loud thoughts fill up the room
Religion watches the proceeding with calculated calmness
He follows her to the hidden room
Careful not to attract attention
There they unite, unbeknownst to all,
As the hidden room, with it’s red walls
Crumbles to the ground
They rise above the rubble, now untouchable
And return to the hall
The voices grow louder, as the thoughts lose their way
Kings and queens on their knees,
Killing each other over opinions
Only the jester, he flies away from the terrible place,
Telling outlandish stories in the marketplace next day
